Most painting projects include some drywall work: nail pops in a stairwell, a crack over a doorway, a stained ceiling under a bathroom. Doing it ourselves means the repair is finished to the standard the paint needs, and you are not coordinating a drywall contractor and a painter around each other’s schedules.
Repairs that stay repaired
We start by finding out why the damage happened. Water stains need the leak fixed first; recurring cracks usually need new tape rather than more mud. Then we patch, sand, prime and paint so the repair blends into the wall.
Texture matching
Walls and ceilings in many 1980s and 1990s west-metro homes carry orange-peel or knockdown textures. We match those textures on patches and feather them into the surrounding surface. On large repairs we may recommend re-texturing a whole wall so the patch does not stand out under raking light.
