Walkthrough and written estimate
We walk every room with you, look at the surfaces under good light, talk through colors and sheens, and send a written estimate that lists each room, each surface and the products we will use.

02Jobsite protection
Floors are covered edge to edge, furniture is moved and wrapped, and fixtures, hardware and outlet covers come off. Where we sand or spray, Zipwall dust barriers seal the work area off from the rest of the house — you keep living in your home while we work.

03Thorough prep
We light-check walls, fill and sand dents and nail pops, caulk gaps, and sand every surface that needs it — cabinets and trim get sanded with dust-extracting sanders. Stains get a stain-blocking primer; oak gets a shellac-based primer so tannins cannot bleed through.

Priming and masking for a sprayed finish
Before enamel goes on, every surface is primed and sanded smooth. When we spray cabinets or built-ins in place, the whole room is bagged in plastic so overspray never lands where it should not.

05Doors finished flat, off site
Cabinet doors, drawer fronts and interior doors are removed, labeled and sprayed flat in a controlled space, then rehung once the finish can be handled. It is the difference between factory-smooth panels and brush marks.

06Finish coats and final walkthrough
Two finish coats — Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane on trim and cabinets, Duration matte on walls. Then we walk the job with you under good light, fix anything you point out, and put your rooms back the way we found them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be able to live in my home during the project?
Yes. Almost every job we do is in an occupied home. We contain the work area, keep a clear path through the house, and plan the work so rooms you need are usable at the end of each day.
Who will be working in my home?
The owner, Kevin Spahn, is on site for every job. We do not hand projects off to a crew you have never met.
How do you protect floors and furniture?
Floors are covered with drop cloths or paper taped at the edges, furniture is moved to the center and wrapped in plastic, and Zipwall barriers separate areas where we sand or spray.
What paint do you use?
Sherwin-Williams Duration Interior Matte on walls and Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel on trim, doors and cabinets, with a shellac-based primer on oak and stain-blocking primers where needed. The products are written on your estimate.
Do you clean up at the end of each day?
Yes. Tools are consolidated, debris is removed, and walkways are cleared each evening. At the end of the project everything goes back where it was.
